Below are two upcoming events that require just a few extra people to help the usual band of hand raisers. Call or Email Grantley.
Saturday 12th August
The Angus Buchanan Recreation Trust in Coleford is 100 years old this year, the Trustee’s are having a celebration day that includes a parade through Coleford and events on the Recreation field.
We have been asked to help with marshalling the parade through the town, the starting location is the FoD council office car park, leaving at 11.30.
Helpers are asked to arrive between 10.30 and 10.45.
Sunday 24th September
Forest of Dean Rotary Autumn Half Marathon.
Once again we have been asked to provide safety radios for this event. To provide a minimal level of cover, 10 radio cars are required, however more can be accommodated.
Radios will be provided, we meet between 08.30 and 09.00 for fitting of radios and issuing of instructions.
This event takes place entirely within the Speech House forest complex, no public roads being used. All runners generally finish by 13.30 with most radios locations finished by 13.00.
